Our Relationship with the Campus and Research Park

The ARI is located in the Research Park at the University of Illinois, near the local offices of Fortune 500 companies such as Caterpillar, State Farm Insurance, Yahoo!, and Anheuser-Busch InBev, as well as regional innovators such as Starfire Industries, The HDF Group, and Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc. We are across the street from EnterpriseWorks, a 43,000-square-foot tech incubator home to more than 30 startups. The ARI is less than a mile from the main University of Illinois Engineering Campus and the world-class research and testing labs that call the campus home.

This proximity is intentional: the ARI serves as a catalyst for relationship building between those companies and the University’s academic and research communities. Companies that partner with the ARI enjoy access to deep wells of engineering and scientific knowledge and can gain insights that will foster manufacturing or tech breakthroughs.
